Doron Blachar
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Blachar became CEO of Ormat in July 2020 and CFO in April 2013. From 2009 to 2013 he was the CFO of Shikun & Binui Ltd. From 2011 to 2013 he served as a director of A.D.O. Group Ltd. From 2005 to 2009 he served as the Vice President Finance of Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. From 1998 to 2005 he served in a number of positions at Amdocs Limited, including as Vice President Finance in 2002-2005. Mr. Blachar, a Certified Public Accountant, has a BA in Accounting and Economics and MBA from Tel Aviv University.
Shlomi Argas
President, Head of Operations and Products
Mr. Argas became Executive Vice President of Operations and Products at Ormat Technologies Inc. in January, 2018. Under this role Mr. Argas will be responsible for all Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, and Projects activities. Previously, Mr. Argas served as Executive Vice President, Projects at Ormat Technologies Inc., and as Manager of the REG Projects Group, with responsibility for the design and installation of REG plants. Mr. Argas holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Ben-Gurion University and a Certificate from the Technion Institute of Management, Executive Management Program. On December 16, 2020, Shlomi Argas, Executive Vice President-Operations and Products of Ormat, was appointed to serve as a President, head of Operations and Products' of Ormat, effective January 1, 2021. As President, Mr. Argas will expand his current role at Ormat by adding on the responsibility of oversight over Ormat’s capital expenditures for the geothermal and storage facilities, over the Information Technology department as well as over technological development and innovation in Ormat.
Assi Ginzburg
Chief Financial Officer
Assi Ginzburg became Chief Financial Officer of Ormat in May 10, 2020. Until May 2020, Mr. Ginzburg served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Delek US Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: DK) and Delek Logistics Partners, LP (NYSE: DKL), and has over 15 years of experience in the energy industry. Mr. Ginzburg earned BA in Economics and Accounting from Tel-Aviv University, and has been a member of the Israeli Institute of Certified Public Accountants since 2001.
Ofer Benyosef
EVP, Energy Storage and Business Development
Ofer Benyosef has served as our Executive Vice President - Business Development, Sales and Marketing since April 19, 2020. From 2008 to 2019, Mr. Benyosef served as Division President at Amdocs Ltd. From 2000 to 2008, Mr. Benyosef served at other operational roles as Amdocs Ltd. From 1996 to 2000, Mr Benyosef served as IT manager at AIG Israel. He earned a BA in earth Science from Bar Ilan University, a BA in Software Development from Tel-Aviv University and MBA from Bar Ilan University.
Bob Sullivan
Executive Vice President, Business Development
Mr. Sullivan became Executive Vice President of Business Development at Ormat in January 2015. Mr. Sullivan, who has nearly 30 years of experience in the renewable energy industry, previously served as Vice President and then Senior Vice President of Business Development, responsible for policy, marketing, sales, and project development in North America. He is a graduate of the U.S. Navy's Nuclear Power School and earned a BS in Business from Capella University.
Shimon Hatzir
Executive Vice President, Electricity Segment
Mr. Hatzir became Executive Vice President—Electricity Segment in April 1st, 2021. Previously Mr. Hatzir served in a number of leadership positions within Ormat, including General Manager of Energy Storage and Solutions segment, Executive Vice President, Engineering and R&D. Mr. Hatzir holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Technion Israel Institute of Management, Executive Management Program.
Jessica Woelfel
General Counsel & CCO
Ms. Woelfel has served as our Chief Compliance Officer & Interim General Counsel since March 12, 2021. Ms. Woelfel joined Ormat in January 2019 and served as Vice President, U.S. Legal for Ormat’s business in the United States. She has nearly 20 years of legal experience and prior to joining Ormat, Ms. Woelfel was an associate and partner at major law firms in San Francisco, California and Reno, Nevada. Ms. Woelfel holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley and a J.D. from University of California, Hastings College of Law.
Liza Tavori
Senior Vice President, Human Resources
Mrs. Liza Tavori become Senior vice president of Human Resources in December 2021. Mrs. Tavori has over 20 years of experience in various HR fields in both local and global corporations. Before joining ORMAT, she served as a Global VP HRBP for ICL Phosphate division and global Finance. She also served in other industrial companies as HRBP, such as "Tnuva “, for Dairy Division (the largest food company in Israel and part of Chinese "Bright Food Group", based in Shanghai.) and for Nestlé Israel as HR and OE. In her role, Mrs. Liza Tavori, will be responsible for Human Capital strategy and implementation of all Global HR process. Mrs. Liza Tavori holds a master’s degree in sociology from Tel Aviv University.
