Jane joined Tritium in 2019 as Chief Operating Officer and Deputy CEO. She was appointed as Tritium’s CEO in March of 2020.

She has extensive experience in operations, projects, and commercial management across multiple industries including aerospace, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), gaming, and entertainment. Her experience includes seven years at Boeing in roles as a company director and Chief Operating Officer of the global Phantom Works division which was responsible for the rapid prototyping and development of advanced technologies.

Jane has chaired the South Queensland Defence Advisory Board.

Along with Michael Hipwood and David Toomey, Jane is a member of the Tritium Executive Committee.

Jane has a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of Queensland and is a qualified barrister.

David, along with Paul Sernia and James Kennedy, founded Tritium in 2001 to commercialise the lightweight motor control technology they developed for their solar car racing team.

At Tritium, David has been intrinsically involved in the development of technical and specialised projects which not only include the company’s award-winning and world-leading EV DC fast chargers but also electric submarines, cryogenic cooling systems, underground mining vehicles, and uncrewed aerial vehicles.

David was Tritium’s CEO from its founding until earlier this year when he stepped down to focus on applying his strategic and innovative leadership, and broad management and engineering experience to his new role as Chief Growth Officer. David remains an Executive Director on Tritium’s board.

David has a PhD and a Bachelor of Engineering (hons) and Bachelor of Science from the University of Queensland.

James has more than twenty years of experience in embedded power electronics design and manufacturing and has been a key member of the Tritium team since founding the company in 2001 with David Finn and Paul Sernia. He has directed engineering operations at Tritium since 2005.

James has had a long association with electric vehicles. Prior to Tritium, James was involved with the University of Queensland’s SunShark solar racing car. In 1999, team SunShark took third place at the World Solar Challenge and was awarded the GM Sunraycer Award for Technical Achievement. For the team, this award represented technical innovation that could be translated to commercial, real-world applications. As a result, James, David and Paul founded Tritium in 2001, selling motor controllers based on the SunShark technology to other solar car teams worldwide. Since then, the company has continued to grow through research and investment to be one of the leading innovators, manufacturers, and suppliers of DC EV fast chargers globally.

James is currently Tritium’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and also leads the Tritium software team. As CTO, James has oversight of all aspects of charger design and technology and is particularly involved with forward-looking work in the standards and regulatory areas.

David has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry in the USA, Europe and Asia, working in direct investment roles on both the equity and debt side of transactions that have included corporations and infrastructure projects across a range of regions and industries.

David has been an adviser to the Tritium board and an alternate director since 2013. He joined the company full-time in 2016 as Chief of Staff and Corporate Development and became Chief Revenue Officer in 2019. He has global responsibility for managing Tritium’s sale enablement and marketing activities, and he has been responsible for all capital raising for the company.

Along with Jane Hunter and Michael Hipwood, David is a member of the Tritium Executive Committee.

David is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a Chartered Accountant. He has a Bachelor of Business from Queensland University of Technology and a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute.

Committed to financial excellence, Michael provides the balance of commercial and robust discipline to drive performance outcomes. Always one step ahead, he works ‘on’ as much as he does ‘in’ the business, establishing a clear picture for all of a united strategic vision, key financial priorities, and high-performance expectations.

This combination of strategic, financial, and operational leadership skills was first shown as CFO of LinkWater where, over two years, Michael established a best practice finance function that facilitated the delivery of what, at the time, was a critical infrastructure project for the local community and economy. Following this success, Michael was appointed by Mincom to lead an organizational transformation as GM Finance, engaging teals along a change journey that delivered a complete performance turnaround. Driving a similar step change as CFO and Company Director of Boeing Australia, Michael tripled revenue in four years while reversing a trend of decline. He has continued to build a vision of financial integrity, commerciality and continuous improvement as CFO of Brisbane South PHN, driving improved health outcomes for 1.1 million residents, and as Head of Finance for Genie Solutions, Australia’s leading practice management software company for medical professionals.

Michael joined Tritium as CFO in April 2019, managing the finances of one of Australia’s most innovative and world-leading technology companies with the sole aim of supplying the charging infrastructure necessary for the future demand of EVs around the world.

Along with Jane Hunter and David Toomey, Michael is a member of the Tritium Executive Committee.

Michael has a Bachelor of Arts and a Graduate Diploma of Professional Accounting from Griffith University and a Master of Business Administration from Deakin University.

Mike is an experienced executive leader with a successful history of accelerating early-stage efficiency businesses. He has deep experience in electric vehicle (EV) charging hardware, software, solutions, business models, clean transportation strategies, and digital customer experience.

In January 2020, Mike was appointed President of the Americas for Tritium, a global powerhouse and technology leader in DC fast charging solutions. Tritium’s mission is to provide energy freedom to the masses by deploying DC charging everywhere including city-to-city corridors and inner-city high-density populations and smart cities. Based in Torrance, CA, Mike is responsible for promoting and developing Tritium’s market share in the USA.

Mike is presently a Board member of Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator (LACI) affiliate start-up company NeoCharge, a home-charging device company that reduces charging costs for homeowners while reducing utility costs for transformer upgrades. He also advises for privately held start-up AmpUp that delivers OCPP software to optimize charging schedules and manage charging energy in commercial and residential applications for AC and DC charging.

Mike previously served as Blink Charging Co’s Chief Executive Officer where he was responsible for the company’s transition and NASDAQ’s listing (NASDAQ:BLNK) in February 2018. He served on Blink’s Board of Directors, was a Senior Vice President responsible for mergers and acquisitions activity and strategy, and additionally held the position of Interim Chief Financial Officer. Blink Charging is a leading EV service provider that owns and operates, manufactures, and sells EV charging stations and services globally.

Prior to Blink, Mike was the Head of North America Electric Vehicle Solutions at Schneider Electric, a world leader in energy management and energy efficiency. While at Schneider, he led a diverse team and was responsible for the EV business unit’s profit and loss, strategy, product, sales/marketing, channel development, and digital customer experience. He was influential in Schneider’s Smart Cities and building and home energy management strategy and was responsible for taking the EV Charging business from its infancy to one of the top contenders in North America.

Prior to Schneider Electric, in 2010 Mike was the founder and principal of EVadvise, an independent advisory firm focused on mass-scale EV infrastructure. He is the lead author of Electrify Your Business, a guide to deploying EV charging in commercial businesses sponsored by the Silicon Valley Leadership Group (SVLG), and Bay Area Climate Council (BACC), and he is a contributing author of California’s Ready, Set, Charge!. Mike developed the Electric Vehicle Charging Technology Plan for Marin Transportation Authority (MTA) in Marin County, CA.

Starting his career at Intel Corp, Mike has held various semiconductor, computer and software-related sales and executive positions as president, GM and EVP. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of New York at Buffalo, and is or has been a member of the IEEE, Cleantech.org, Plug In America, and the Electric Auto Association. Mike held board seats on the Electric Drive Transportation Association (EDTA) and the Bay Area Climate Council (BACC) EV Strategic Council. He also served a four-year public service term as Chairperson and Commissioner of the Transportation and Parking Commission in Los Gatos, California.

Mike continues to provide advice for several private equity investors and cleantech start-ups in transportation, energy, and micro-grid technologies, all focused on aiding mass-scale EV adoption.
